Q: There seems to something loose in the module causing a slight rattling sound. Is it broken?
A: No, this normal. The impact sensor and pendulum are moving parts that are causing the sound.

Q: Does The Kure putting aid use lasers?
A: No! Laser devices can be very dangerous – especially to youngsters who could permanently damage their vision by looking into the beam. The Kure is a totally harmless putting trainer and operates on the patented technology of Active Telemetry. Also, lasers cannot provide the telemetry information required for all four functions of The Kure.

Q: What is the operating distance from the target?
A: Approximately 3-25 feet - with the optimum practice distance between 6-12 feet.

Q: My putts are rolling under the target but I don’t get a green target light.
A: The Kure golf putter aid is highly sophisticated and accurate using sophisticated electronics. Keep in mind that the green light will come on only when the putter face is square to the target at IMPACT and the putter head is perpendicular to the users’ hands. There can be no exaggerated forward press or flipping the putter head past your hand position at impact. Many times the ball is affected by factors such as slope, grain, wind, surface irregularities, etc. so the ball may go under the target but when that happens the stroke was off-square at impact. REMEMBER, you want to practice squaring the putter face to the target line at impact by getting the green target indication. Do NOT be concerned where the ball finishes.

Q: How often do I need to use The Kure?
A: Most people will experience a significant improvement in their putting in just a few minutes. However, the more you use it the more you are automating a proper stroke. We suggest using it before a round so that you will have greater confidence during play. The Kure can be used whenever you want, at home, the office or the putting green.

Q: Do I need to be facing directly in-line with the target?
A: No. You can use The Kure up to about 20 degrees either side of center, depending on the distance from the target.

Q: When I turn on the target the green light is blinking
A: This is a built-in low battery indicator and it’s time to replace the 3 AA batteries.

Q: The alignment light on top of the module is blinking
A: This is a built-in low battery indicator and it’s time to replace the #2450 flat battery.

Q: Do I need to shut off both units when done practicing?
A: It is always a good idea because it saves on battery life. The target will remain on if not shut off but draws very little power if not in use. The putter module (grey) has an auto sleep feature if motionless for about 6 minutes. Simply tapping the putter with the unit attached can reactivate it. Beware that if you store the unit with the switch on, that movement can reactivate the module and cost battery life.

Q: Can I use The Kure in the rain?
A: It will function, but like any sophisticated electronic instrument, moisture can get into the circuitry and could cause damage, which is not supported by the warranty.

Q: Is there any maintenance required?
A: No, but check both units occasionally to make sure that there is no foreign matter on the lenses that could block signal transmission. Replace batteries when indicated.

Q: The mounting arm doesn’t stay in place while putting and I have tightened the nut as much as possible.
A: The mounting bracket has been designed to fit securely on virtually all putter shafts but there are a few that have a “fluted” section that has several flat areas around the shaft. If the required mounting position is in a fluted section it is recommended that any household adhesive tape be wrapped around the shaft under where the mounting needs to be positioned. This procedure will insure a secure fit and will keep the arm in the required position during use.

Q: I’m aimed directly at the target but can’t get the amber light
A: Troubleshoot in the following steps to make sure:
1. Both the target and the module are turned on. The grey putter module will emit a steady green light and the target will flash a green light when switch is turned on.
2. The mounting arm is exactly parallel with the top-line of the putter face.
3. The mounting arm is not higher up the shaft than the length of the squaring device.
4. There is nothing blocking the area between the target and the module on the putter.
5. The lenses on the grey putter module are facing the target and the target lenses are facing back toward you.
6. The putting surface slope is so great that it blocks the signal from the module to the target.
7. Place the grey module 6” from the target lenses to check functionality of units. Rotate the module slightly until amber light comes on.
8. Recycle the system by turning the target and putter power off then back on after a few seconds.
9. If above steps do not correct the problem contact customer service by phone or email.

Q: The amber light goes off when I start my backstroke.
A: This is normal because the amber light is meant to illuminate only when square at the address position.

Q: The green light comes on the target at address instead the amber.
A: the putter tapping a ball or surface prior to the stroke usually causes this. Wait a few seconds and the green target light should turn off and be ready normal use. If it stays steady green then recycle the system by turning the target and putter power off then back on after a few seconds.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: One year from date of purchase – damages warranted due to normal use.

Q: What do I do if I can’t get The Kure to work properly after trying the troubleshooting steps?
